Chambers USA 2007 Ranks Goodwin Procter No. 1 in 12 Practices

76 of the Firm’s Attorneys Recognized as Leaders in their Field

BOSTON, June 15, 2007 — The well-respected legal directory Chambers USA: America’s Top Leading Lawyers for Business has named Goodwin Procter number one in 12 categories, and 76 of the firm’s attorneys as leaders in their field. Since its inception five years ago, Chambers USA has consistently named Goodwin Procter and its attorneys as among the finest in the legal industry.

Goodwin Procter is well represented in a variety of practice groups on both national and statewide levels, including Intellectual Property, Litigation, Technology & Life Sciences, Real Estate and Financial Services. Chambers also launched several new categories, of which Goodwin Procter ranked highly in several.

In a new category, Goodwin Procter’s REITs practice was ranked in the first tier nationally. Additionally, partner Gilbert Menna achieved the coveted “Star Performer” ranking in REITs, a designation that is the “standard by which others are judged and is reserved for those individuals whose profile is far ahead of the pack.”

Goodwin Procter was recognized for its Life Sciences practice which earned a national ranking. Rankings assess key qualities in the legal field, including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence and commitment as well as other valuable client services.
