Goodwin Procter Expands Private Equity Practice with Hire of London Leveraged Finance Partner Simon Fulbrook from King & Wood Mallesons

Goodwin Procter, a leading Am Law 50 and Global 50 law firm, announced today the expansion of its market-leading Private Equity Group with the addition of Simon Fulbrook as a partner in the firm’s London office. Fulbrook joins Goodwin from King & Wood Mallesons, where he practised as a debt finance partner with a principal focus on sponsor-side leveraged finance.

Fulbrook’s experience spans all areas of leveraged finance, including private equity-backed leveraged buyouts, management buyouts and buy-ins, corporate M&A and recapitalisations, acquisitions, funds and real estate finance. He represents private equity firms, portfolio and other companies and lenders in the financial institutions, life sciences, healthcare and other sectors.

“We are delighted that Simon has chosen to join Goodwin,” said David Evans, London Office Chair. “His hire represents an important strategic step in the development of our European private equity capabilities, following the recent appointment of Richard Lever to spearhead the practice.”

Richard Lever, partner in Goodwin Procter’s Private Equity Group, said: “Simon brings significant experience in all areas of leveraged finance and his hire will augment the expansion of Goodwin Procter’s focus on private equity work in the middle-market and growth equity sectors in Europe.”
