Goodwin’s Frankfurt Office Advises WCM on Acquisition of Retail Portfolio

A team of lawyers from Goodwin’s Frankfurt office represented WCM Beteiligungs- und Grundbesitz-AG (WCM) in the EUR 66.5 million acquisition of four retail centers with 52,500 square meters of rental space in the aggregate. The recently acquired properties, which increase the value of WCM’s property portfolio to approximately EUR645 million, are located in the German federal states of Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Brandenburg.

WCM is a dynamically growing real estate investment company and distinguishes itself through expansive growth and high selectivity in acquired assets. Headquartered in Frankfurt, its strategy is to acquire and manage commercial real estate, especially office and retail properties in the major office locations and economically strong regions in Germany, generating long-term and stable rental income for shareholders.

The Goodwin team advising WCM was led by Real Estate partner Marc Bohne and included Matthias Rüdt von Collenberg and partner Stephan Kock.
