Ms. Dinsmore’s practice includes defense of corporate and individual clients in a variety of disputes, including litigation alleging violations of federal and state securities laws. She has also worked on both internal and government investigations concerning federal securities laws and accounting issues.
Her recent work for clients includes:
- Multi-year defense of a large financial institution and mortgage issuer in litigation arising out of the issuance of residential mortgage-backed securities.
- Defense of a nationwide transportation company in class actions arising out of alleged misclassification of independent contractors.
- Representation of the Audit Committee of a public software company in Massachusetts in internal investigation and subsequent SEC inquiry involving potential revenue recognition issues.
Ms. Dinsmore is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Dinsmore completed a year-long fellowship in the National School Boards Association’s Office of General Counsel.
While attending law school, Ms. Dinsmore was an articles editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law. She was also a member of Georgetown’s Alternative Dispute Resolution team, and she competed in the 2007 American Bar Association Law Student Division Arbitration Competition.
