Alexander R. Plaum

Alex Plaum is an associate in the firm's Business Law Department and a member of its Tax Group. He joined Goodwin in 2013.

Mr. Plaum is the author of “Valladolid v. Pacific Operations Offshore: The Ninth Circuit Finds No Situs-of-Injury Requirement for Workers' Compensation Claims Under OCSLA,” 35 Tul. Mar. L.J. 617 (2011).

At Tulane University Law School, Mr. Plaum was awarded the Tulane Tax Institute Award for the highest grade point average in the field of taxation and the Dean’s Medal for the highest grade point average during the third year. Mr. Plaum was also a managing editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.

During law school, Mr. Plaum was a summer law clerk at the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service.
