You will be invited to attend programs like:

  • Abilitie Business Challenge
    We partner with Abilitie to help our new attorneys understand client decision-making and strategy, as well as key finance and accounting concepts, through the Abilitie Business Challenge.

  • Oral Communications Skills
    We partner with outside communications skills experts on highly interactive programs designed to help attorneys at all levels develop communication and presentation skills through practice, feedback, and practical tips.

  • Business Development/Client Service Program
    A collaboration between the L+PD, Attorney Development and Business Development  teams, this firm-wide program provides essential client service and business development training to our associates and professional track attorneys, tiered by seniority level to ensure that attorneys receive the right skills at the right time in their careers.

  • Deposition Skills Workshop
    This interactive two-day workshop for junior Litigation associates consists of both instructional sessions and hands-on exercises to provide the basics of taking and defending depositions. Participants will have multiple opportunities to receive coaching from Goodwin partners and faculty from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

  • Trial Training Program
    This intensive off-site week-long program provides associates with opportunities to conduct opening statements, direct and cross examinations, and closing arguments in the context of a case developed by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. The program culminates in a mock jury trial presided over by retired judges with jury deliberations broadcast over closed-circuit television. Participants get a unique perspective on how their arguments and presentations affect the jurors.
