Shoobx, Goodwin Partner to Offer Enhanced Legal Technology Automation to Emerging Companies

Goodwin and Shoobx, a startup aimed at helping entrepreneurs incorporate, receive funding and grow, have announced a partnership to offer their product on Founders Workbench, and to support the firm’s startup clients and emerging companies practice. Shoobx assists companies with incorporation, equity management, HR onboarding, governance, fundraising and legal collaboration.

“Our partnership with Shoobx is the first of its kind for Founders Workbench and the result of an extensive collaboration amongst the Founders Workbench and Shoobx teams. We look forward to partnering with other companies offering ‘best of breed’ products that help startups run their business,” explained Dave Cappillo, a partner in Goodwin’s Tech and Life Sciences practice.

“Startup clients expect us to leverage modern tools to deliver our services. We are excited to partner with Shoobx to deliver an innovative alternative for Goodwin to engage with our clients,” said Mark Bettencourt, also a partner in Goodwin’s Tech and Life Sciences practice.

Founders Workbench, Goodwin’s free online legal advisory resource for startups and entrepreneurs, will offer the next generation Shoobx system as a complement to its Document Driver tool. Shoobx is a digital, workflow-based platform that facilitates attorney-client collaboration to generate, electronically execute and securely store legal documents, drive cap tables and manage employee onboarding. Through the Shoobx partnership, Goodwin clients and other startups will be able to incorporate, grant equity, administrate stock incentive plans, manage their cap table, onboard employees and more, all with attorney oversight.
