Financial Times named Goodwin among the most innovative law firms in its 2018 North America ranking. The publication awarded Goodwin Standout and Highly Commended rankings in, respectively, the Managing & Developing Talent, and Managing Complexity & Scale categories.
The firm’s Standout ranking focused on Goodwin’s innovative utilization of Tableau software. The publication commented: “Using Tableau software, the firm produced data visualizations of attorney and staff work, which provided insights into new matter pages, client pages, and work history resources. The new tools had immediate usability with over 20,000 hits in the first month, and allowed them to understand trends and key data with the firm.”
The Highly Commended ranking focused on the team’s work for client Nimbus Therapeutics on offering Celgene the option to buy two of its treatment programs. The Financial Times noted Goodwin’s role in “preserving the integrity of Nimbus’s corporate and tax architecture while satisfying Celgene’s accounting requirements.”
