Four Goodwin Partners Named Law360 MVPs

Goodwin partners James Fleckner (Benefits), Michael Halford (Fund Formation) and Anthony McCusker (Technology) have been named 2019 Law360 MVPs. The annual distinction honors elite lawyers for their accomplishments in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.

Goodwin’s recognition across numerous practice areas demonstrates the firm’s deep bench and its unique positioning as the go-to advisor for sophisticated innovators and investors around the world.

Fleckner is a partner in Goodwin’s Financial Industry practice and Chair of its ERISA Litigation practice. He is known for his experience representing financial service providers and plan sponsors across the country in class actions, appeals, regulatory investigations, and arbitrations regarding the discharge of ERISA duties.

Halford is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group and Head of its Private Investment Funds practice for Europe and Asia. His practice focuses on private equity funds, infrastructure funds and real estate funds for institutional and private investors, and covers a wide range of incentive schemes and co-investment arrangements.

Kline is co-chair of Goodwin’s Capital Markets practice and a partner in its Technology practice. He specializes in all areas of corporate and securities laws with a primary focus on capital markets transactions, and also represents corporate clients on company formations, venture financings, M&A transactions, corporate governance and advising board of directors.

McCusker is a partner in and co-chair of Goodwin’s Technology practice. He specializes in all areas of corporate, securities and partnership laws, with a primary focus on advising emerging-growth technology companies, and is a key contributor to Goodwin's Founders Workbench, an online resource for start-ups, emerging companies and entrepreneurs.
