Goodwin Advises KanAm Grund on Acquisition of K2 Office Building

The Frankfurt team acted as legal advisor to KanAm Grund Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH on the acquisition of the office building K2 in Munich, Germany, from PR München Invest by way of an asset deal. The transaction was preceded by a structured sales process; it was closed on December 31, 2019.

The property K2, located in Munich’s industrial park Zamdorfer Straße, has a total rentable area of approx. 32,000 square meters. The rental units are predominantly used by Instrument Systems, a Japanese a producer of optical measurement systems, Lokomotion, a private rail operator, Verizon, Vodafone as well as Vonovia and BIM, both real estate companies.

The Goodwin team was led by partner Peter Junghänel and senior associate Catharina Förster, and included associate Felix Weber (Real Estate Industry), partner Heiko Penndorf and counsel Felix Krueger (Tax).
