During law school, Ms. Achilihu certified in business law and gained relevant experience by working for a Fortune 100 company, participating in a transactional negotiation competition involving corporate acquisitions, researching corporate and data privacy laws in emerging foreign markets, and counseling business-centric startup cooperatives and social enterprises on equity development and general corporate matters. Ms. Achilihu served as an editor for the Maryland Law Review, President of the Black Law Students Association, and Vice President of the Business Law Society. She also received the William P. Cunningham Award, William H. Murphy Family Scholarship, Maryland Graduate and Professional Scholarship, BLSA Banquet Book Scholarship, and CALI Award in the Small Business & Community Equity Development Clinic, as well being selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Scholar.
