Vanessa Gomez is an associate in the Business Law Department’s Real Estate Industry group at Goodwin. She started at the firm in 2021. Ms. Gomez concentrates her legal practice in representing institutional investors, owners and developers on acquisitions, dispositions, financings and joint ventures.
In addition to her billable work, Ms. Gomez participates in various pro bono projects representing asylum seekers and domestic violence survivors, and is a Board Member of the California Women’s Law Center.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Gomez was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She was also employed at various financial institutions in New York and California prior to receiving her law degree.
During law school, Ms. Gomez served as a Student Legal Honors Extern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Gomez served as the Keynote Speaker of the Closing Ceremony to the UC Irvine School of Law Saturday Academy of Law, and has been an active participant on various panels throughout the country to address diversity in the legal industry.
