Experience

Vlad devotes significant time to providing direct legal services to underserved individuals and small businesses. Vlad networks with legal services programs and works closely with Goodwin’s pro bono team to identify pro bono opportunities and assist in developing pro bono clinics. Vlad organized, operates, and participates in two name and gender marker change clinics in collaboration with local Bay Area nonprofits and legal organizations. Vlad participates in citizenship and expungement clinics, conducting client interviews, drafting petitions, and providing essential legal assistance. Vlad also advises small businesses on leasing issues and advocates for tenants in landlord/tenant disputes, contributing to Goodwin’s Neighborhood Business Initiative. Through this initiative, Vlad provides pro bono legal services to small business owners in historically excluded communities, promoting equity and supporting wealth creation.

Professional Activities

Vlad is a member of the Urban Land Institute, a global organization for real estate and land use professionals in the private and public sector, aiming to inspire equitable and sustainable land use. Vlad is also a member of the National LGBT Bar Association.

Professional Experience

During law school, Vlad interned with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s division of enforcement, assisting in cases involving cryptocurrency fraud. Vlad also served as a student attorney at Georgetown’s Law & Entrepreneurship Practicum in collaboration with Foley & Lardner attorneys, advising a startup on entity formation for a crypto-based music platform aimed at enhancing user accessibility and equitable streaming revenue.

Before attending law school, Vlad worked as a litigation assistant and secretary in plaintiff-side civil firms. Vlad provided compassionate support to clients navigating traumatic incidents such as car accidents, domestic abuse, foreclosures, and employment discrimination.
