Richard Sillett is an experienced trial and appellate litigator specializing in financial services actions in New York State courts. He has represented financial services institutions against claims alleging violations of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and various other consumer protection statutes and state law claims. Richard's practice also includes the advisement of financial services clients on changes in substantive and procedural law affecting residential mortgage foreclosures. He is skilled at handling all phases of litigation from pleadings through discovery, trial, and appeal, and he has particular expertise with complex motion practice in New York state trial courts. More broadly, he is also experienced representing clients in complex commercial litigation and in international arbitrations.

Richard is admitted to practice in New York and Arizona only. He is working under the supervision of the partners at Goodwin.
