As Manager of Attorney Development, Jennifer White is responsible for the development of Firm associates, and in this capacity has worked with attorneys in all practices across both the Business Law Department and the Litigation Department. She partners with Firm and Practice leadership to ensure the efficient and effective administration of the practice and the delivery of best-in-class client service, and currently sits on the firmwide Attorney Development Committees for both IP Litigation and Junior Associates (Litigation).

Ms. White works closely with colleagues in Learning & Professional Development, Human Resources, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to ensure a positive and inclusive attorney experience as it relates to training, development, coaching, integration and onboarding, wellness, performance management, and career transitioning. She collaborates with Recruiting to build and maintain the best resources to meet client needs, and works with the Attorney Review Committee to prepare and complete performance evaluations. She manages attorney and science advisor workloads and assignments, and delivers training to both attorneys and professional staff colleagues.

Ms. White received her MBA Essentials Certificate from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a professional coach, having received her certificate for completion of the Co-Active Training Institute’s Coach Training Program, which is part of the International Coaching Federation’s Accredited Coach Training Program. Ms. White has also been certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Experience

Before joining Goodwin, Ms. White practiced law for 15 years, first at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, and later as Litigation Counsel at Arent Fox LLP. As a complex commercial litigator, Ms. White helped clients prevent and solve problems, led teams, won cases, advised clients regarding risk assessment and management, and negotiated on clients’ behalf. Her practice deliberately spanned multiple substantive areas and industries, and in addition to her litigation and client-counseling skills, Ms. White was a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) with significant compliance and investigations experience.

Ms. White has also taught courses at the professional, JD, and undergraduate levels for over 14 years, and on a broad array of topics, including arbitration, negotiation, mediation, legal writing, immigration, and culture.
