Hot Topics in Securities Litigation & Enforcement – Omnicare, Halliburton III (?), Home Courts, and the Financial Reporting and Audit Task Force

This half-day program will take a closer look at recent Securities and Exchange Commission initiatives and federal court decisions, including Omnicare & Halliburton II, and the challenges they pose to the securities litigation and enforcement bar. The faculty includes securities litigators, in-house counsel, law professors and government regulators. Brian Pastuszenski, senior partner and co-chair of Goodwin Procter’s Securities Litigation and SEC Enforcement Practice, will moderate and speak on the panel “An Omnicare’s Dilemma: What Lessons Should Disclosure, Litigation, and Enforcement Counsel draw from Omnicare, Nvidia, and Stratte-McClure.” This panel will include in-depth discussion of Omnicare, Rule 10b5-1 trading plans, and Item 303 violations.
