Albert J. Solecki Jr. Named Chair of Goodwin Procter’s New York Office

BOSTON, August 17, 2004 — Goodwin Procter LLP today announced that Albert J. Solecki Jr., 41, has been named the new chair of its New York office, effective October 1.

Solecki joined Goodwin Procter in 2000 as a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group. Since that time, he has contributed significantly to the expansion of the firm’s employment law practice. He specializes in all phases of employment-related litigation and counseling and is frequently quoted in the general and legal media concerning labor and employment law trends and issues.

Solecki succeeds Robert S. Insolia who, after serving as New York office chair since 1997, will assume the new role of Business Law Department leader for the New York office.

Goodwin Procter’s New York office has grown to nearly 100 attorneys, having started with only 10 attorneys when the office opened in 1997. The firm plans to continue the rapid growth of its New York office under Solecki’s leadership.
