In Memoriam: Anthony Lapham, Retired Shea & Gardner Partner

I am saddened to report that our colleague Tony Lapham, retired partner of Shea & Gardner, died this weekend of a heart attack while fishing in North Carolina with one of his sons. As many of you know, in addition to his career as a private lawyer, Tony also served as the General Counsel to the CIA under Presidents George H.W. Bush and Carter. After his service to the government, he returned to Shea & Gardner where he practiced until his retirement. Tony was a superb lawyer, a great colleague and a fine human being. He will be missed. Attached are the obituaries from the Washington Post and New York Times.
