Chambers USA Recognizes Goodwin Procters National Climate Change Practice

We are pleased to announce that Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business has ranked Goodwin Procter in the new national Climate Change category.

Partner William J. Schnoor, Jr. has been instrumental in building the climate change practice at Goodwin Procter. The firm's expertise in this area ranges from transactional work on behalf of climate change innovators to litigation in state and federal courts. Some of our significant work includes designing the first renewable energy credit certification program; pioneering mandatory carbon-credits transfer agreements for leading participants in the climate change arena; pioneering the development of the first major voluntary public company carbon-reduction programs for "best in class" companies; and developing a regional market-based funding mechanism for renewable energy facilities, focusing on greenhouse gas reductions.

In compiling their guide, Chambers canvasses clients and lawyers across the country to obtain a consistent market view of which firms and attorneys are considered leaders in their fields. Rankings assess key qualities, including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence and commitment and other valuable client services.
