BOSTON, January 12, 2010 – Goodwin Procter was recently named one of the “Best Places to Work in New York City” by Crain’s New York Business. Goodwin was ranked 21st out of 150 organizations that participated in the survey. Crain’s analyzed a variety of survey data from businesses that provide a rewarding work experience for their employees. The publication cited the firm’s family-friendly culture as one of its many unique qualities, including its emergency back-up daycare system, elder-care benefit for aging family members and Women’s Initiative task-force dedicated to maximizing networking and career opportunities for women at the firm.
To determine the list, Crain’s conducted 13,991 surveys of employees in New York City, with more than 150 companies participating in the process. Scores from employees, who answered a confidential 76-question survey, were combined with scores from a survey of the employers, which included questions about benefits and policies.
