Goodwin Procter Names Heidi Goldstein Shepherd as Chief Human Resources Officer

BOSTON, August 25, 2011 - Goodwin Procter LLP, a national Am Law 50 firm, today announced the appointment of Heidi Goldstein Shepherd as Chief Human Resources Officer. Shepherd, who joined the firm in 1999, was previously a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. In her new position, she will oversee the firm’s professional development, leadership, recruiting, training and human resources activities, as well as the continued expansion of the firm’s Women’s, Diversity and GLBT Initiatives. In addition, she will play a key role in the firm’s communications activities within and across all Goodwin communities.

She joined Goodwin as an associate in 1999, after clerking at the U.S. District Court in Vermont, and was named to the partnership in 2006. A member of the Boston and Massachusetts Bar Associations, Shepherd earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 1994 and her B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University in 1989.
