In April, Goodwin Procter client, Paperless Post, completed a $6 million Series D financing led by RRE Ventures. Also participating in the financing were Tim Draper, Founder and a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and SV-Angel, a prominent angel fund based in Silicon Valley.

Founded in New York City in September 2008, Paperless Post is an emerging growth company that develops and operates a web-based and mobile software platform that enables users to prepare and send custom, personalized invitations, announcements and digital stationery.

In a May 7 article, TechCrunch described Paperless post as “the anti-Evite, aiming to allow consumers to create sleek, design-focused, personalized invitations that deliver the same quality as paper stationery.”

“We are very pleased to be represented by Goodwin Procter attorneys,” said Meg Hirschfield, In-House Counsel at Paperless Post. “This round was another great example of good lawyers with judgment helping a start-up gain ground.”

RRE Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in New York City that invests in companies developing products or services enabled by information technology. This has historically included virtually all expressions of software and internet technology as well as hardware and technology-enabled services.

The Goodwin Procter deal team was led by partner Steve Davis.
