Goodwin Procter Tops U.S. PIPE Market League Table for First Half of 2012

Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, was the most active placement agent counsel in the U.S. PIPE market through the first half of 2012 according to Sagient Research Systems’ PlacementTracker.

Goodwin ranked first as the most active placement agent counsel in the United States with 25 transactions totaling over $664 million for the first half of 2012.

PIPE (private investment in public equity) transactions provide smaller and mid-sized public companies with a lower-cost and more efficient means of raising capital, when compared to more traditional forms of equity financing such as secondary offerings.
