San Francisco partner Teresa Goebel was recently selected by the Daily Journal for its “Top Women Lawyers” feature, an annual list honoring women attorneys for their significant achievements in various practices across the legal industry.
The Daily Journal recognized Goebel for her hand in representing hotel management companies and real estate investors in the closure of deals involving 54 hotel properties over the last 18 months. In particular, Goebel was commended for her representation of Hyatt Hotels Corp. in the sale of six different hotels around the county in 2013. The Hyatt transactions, completed over a seven month period, totaled hundreds of millions of dollars.
Goebel joined Goodwin Procter in 2008 and is a member of the firm’s Hospitality and Leisure, Real Estate Transactions, and Real Estate Investment Management and Joint Ventures practices. Her practice focuses on the acquisition, development, financing, management and sale of hotel, resort and fractional ownership properties. She has authored several articles for HotelNewsNow.com, and is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading lawyer in the hospitality area in the United States.
In addition to her work for Hyatt, Goebel and other members of the firm’s Hospitality Practice have represented many of the world’s leading hotel companies, advising on more than $800 million in hotel transactions in the summer of 2013.
