Goodwin Procter was ranked by PitchBook as the leading legal advisor on venture capital IPO and M&A exits in 2014. According to the research company’s recently released figures, Goodwin advised on 55 exits, placing the firm in the top spot for the third consecutive year. Overall, the firm was ranked one of the top 10 legal advisors in 18 out of 20 venture capital categories covering type, geography and sector, including placing second in the Pharma & Biotech and Clean Tech categories, and ranking among the top five legal advisors for Software and U.S-based venture capital deals.
PitchBook also announced its annual rankings of the most active private equity law firms. Goodwin was recognized as one of the top firms in five categories including in the IPO and M&A exits category, the buyouts category, the IT sector category, the U.S geography category and the Mid-Atlantic regional category. The research firm reviews private equity transactions by deal type, location and industry.
