Maxence Bloch, a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity Group and Paris Office Chair, focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, with a concentration on leveraged buyouts and private equity transactions. His experience includes leading numerous acquisitions of listed and unlisted companies for French and foreign private equity funds. Mr. Bloch also focuses on litigation matters before all courts relating to equity financing and shareholders’ disputes.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, Mr. Bloch was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin) in Paris. Previously, he practiced at Clifford Chance, where he helped establish its private equity team. Before that, he was a lawyer at Hausmann & Associés and at Thomas & Associés, and was seconded to the Valeo Group for two years.
Mr. Bloch is consistently recognized as a leader in his field by preeminent, peer-reviewed publications, including Chambers Europe, Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer Private Equity Handbook, and Best Lawyers. Chambers Europe notes that Mr. Bloch “is praised for his high level of market awareness.”
He was also recognized as valedictorian of Lauréat de l’Ordre des Avocats.
