Teresa K. Goebel

Teresa Goebel is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Real Estate Industry group. Her practice encompasses a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including hotel transactions, joint ventures, financings and real property sales and acquisitions. She joined Goodwin in 2008. Teresa is co-chair of Goodwin’s Pro Bono Committee and a former member of the Partnership Committee and former chair of Goodwin’s global Hospitality & Leisure practice.

Teresa represents many of the world’s leading hotel companies. She focuses particularly on the acquisition, development, financing, management and sale of hotels and mixed-use hospitality properties. She regularly negotiates, structures and documents management agreements and equity and debt investments for hotels, resorts and other mixed use hospitality projects throughout the world.

Teresa is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), and chairs its hotels, resorts and mixed-use properties committee.  Teresa served on the Program Planning Committee for the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), the leading hotel conference in the United States, for three years. Teresa is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California and State Bar of New York.

Teresa has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading lawyer in the hospitality area in the United States each year since 2011. Teresa also served as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Hospitality for Law 360. Teresa was selected by the Daily Journal for its “Top Women Lawyers” feature in 2014, which honors women attorneys for their significant achievements in various practices across the legal industry.
