Milena Tantcheva is a partner in Goodwin's Private Equity Group and a member of its Debt Finance, Capital Markets and Hedge Funds Practices. Ms. Tantcheva represents private equity sponsors, investment banking firms, commercial banks, mezzanine lenders and public and private company borrowers and issuers in connection with secured and unsecured debt financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, leveraged recapitalizations and high yield offerings.

Acquisition Financing

  • $295 million senior notes for a mezzanine lender in connection with the leveraged acquisition of a leading global thrift retailer
  • $225 million first lien credit facility for a portfolio company’s follow-on acquisition of a provider of various trading solutions to financial institutions
  • $195 million senior notes for a mezzanine lender in connection with the leveraged acquisition of a leading polyethylene tank manufacturer
  • $80 million senior secured credit facility for a portfolio company’s follow-on acquisition of a protein bar manufacturer
  • $75 million senior secured term loan facility and $35 million senior secured revolving credit facility in connection with the leveraged acquisition of a leading provider of product commercialization services
  • $47.5 million senior add-on credit facility for a portfolio company’s acquisition of an orthopedics line of business
  • $40 million first lien secured credit facility and $10 million second lien secured credit facility for a medical supply distributor portfolio company

  • $450 million and $200 million high yield note issuance for Medical Properties Trust and related exchange offer
  • $460 million senior note issuance for Atlantic Power Corporation and related exchange offer

  • $75 million senior note issuance, representing Barclays Capital and Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, for Winthrop Realty trust
  • Various senior note offerings, representing Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Citigroup, for Digital Realty Trust as issuer

General Financing

  • $330 million revolving credit facility and $100 million term loan facility for Medical Properties Trust
  • $170 million revolving credit and term loan facility for Mac-Gray Corporation
  • $50 million senior secured credit facility for a European provider of software solutions
Professional Activities

Ms. Tantcheva is a member of the Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations. Ms. Tantcheva provides pro bono legal services to low-income entrepreneurs and small-business owners in underserved neighborhoods throughout Greater Boston through Goodwin’s Neighborhood Business Initiative.
