Amanda L. Willis

Amanda Willis is a department attorney in the firm's Litigation Department and a member of its Intellectual Property Group. She joined Goodwin in 2007.

Dr. Willis is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Chemical Society.

From 2007-2012, Dr. Willis was a science advisor at Goodwin, where she prosecuted patent applications and provided general scientific support in pharmaceutical-related opinions and litigations. Dr. Willis' graduate research focused on synthetic preparation, surface chemistry and biomedical applications of inorganic nanocrystals. She previously worked as a scientific advisor at Cooper & Dunham LLP where her responsibilities included patent prosecution in the area of pharmaceuticals.

Areas of Practice


Dr. Willis advises clients in a variety of technological arts, including medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology. Her experience focuses on patent litigation, preparation of non-infringement and invalidity opinions and patent prosecution.
