Advent International Named "Buyout Firm of the Year" by Buyouts Magazine

BOSTON, April 21, 2009 – Goodwin Procter congratulates its long-time client, Advent International, for winning Buyouts Magazine’s most prestigious annual award, “Buyout Firm of the Year.”  In selecting nominees, Buyouts looked at every aspect of firms’ activities in 2008, including LBO transactions, exits, personnel moves and portfolio management.

“We have worked with Advent for 25 years and know from personal experience what an accomplished global investment team they have,” said David Watson, chair of Goodwin Procter’s Private Investment Funds practice.  “We are thrilled to hear of this well-deserved honor and wish to congratulate Advent’s entire team.”

Buyouts announced the winner at its third annual awards dinner in New York City on March 26.  The other firms nominated for the award include Riverside, New Mountain and Sun Capital.
