Veteran Life Sciences Lawyer Richard Hoffman Joins Goodwin as Partner in Boston

Global 50 law firm Goodwin announced today that veteran life sciences lawyer Richard Hoffman has joined the firm’s Boston office as a partner in the Life Sciences Practice.

Hoffman’s extensive life sciences industry experience includes establishing new companies, negotiating and closing venture capital financings, in-licensing technologies, and developing and implementing corporate and business development strategies. He has a successful track record in structuring, negotiating and documenting strategic deals with both public and private companies.

Hoffman joins Goodwin from WilmerHale, where he was an associate and then a junior partner from 1987 through 1994, and a partner from 2013. He also served as a legal adviser and a business consultant to numerous biotechnology companies.

Hoffman earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. in Biochemical Sciences (magna cum laude) from Harvard College. He is a member of the Massachusetts, Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
