Sophos Acquires Barricade

Goodwin represented Sophos (LSE:SOPH), a global leader in network and endpoint security, in its announced acquisition of Barricade, a pioneering start-up with a powerful behavior-based analytics engine built on machine learning techniques. The team and technology from Barricade will strengthen Sophos’ synchronized security capabilities and its next-generation network and endpoint protection portfolio.

Sophos is a security software and hardware company that develops products for communication endpoint, encryption, network security, email security and mobile security as well as unified threat management. Sophos is focused on providing security software to mid-market enterprises as well as protecting home users. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

Barricade is an intuitive security as a service start-up company based in the Republic of Ireland, which focusses on user experience. Barricade’s mission is to democratize security and make the cybersecurity industry more accessible and approachable,
