Today, we’re guiding students to solve the increasingly complex challenges of the modern business era with our cutting-edge curriculum, groundbreaking research, commitment to an inclusive and representative community, and real-time connection to industry and practice, both within New York City and around the world.
From pioneering courses to STEM certification to unique immersive and experiential learning opportunities, our curriculum continues to expand and evolve. Infusing management fundamentals with data science and of-the-moment business intelligence, Columbia Business School delivers unmatched insights and learning across key areas of business, including digital transformation, entrepreneurship and innovation, twenty-first century finance, the intersection of business and society, and climate and sustainability.
Columbia is where theory meets practice. Through a constantly evolving curriculum and a deep connection to business, we’ve stayed at the forefront of business education by evolving alongside it. Our dynamic faculty understand how and when the business world is shifting — and we respond by regularly introducing new programs and courses to challenge and prepare our students for success in a rapidly changing landscape.
Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate
At Columbia Business School, the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate delivers the renowned MBA Real Estate program, offering an innovative, robust, industry-led curriculum and a comprehensive research program led by full-time faculty experts. Leveraging premier intellectual capital and its New York location at the heart of global capital markets, the mission of the MBA Real Estate Program is to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge of real estate as it relates to the everchanging global market for real estate finance and investment.
The Center, which was endowed by the Milstein Family in 2001, furthers that mission by delivering compelling courses, impactful research, a wide variety of student and alumni activities, and directs all initiatives and functions related to real estate at Columbia Business School, inclusive of employer relations and career advising. The Center also provides and underwrites tools and resources for students and faculty to use both in and out of the classroom and to conduct research.
Beyond the classroom, curating more than 50 annual programs and activities and interweaving a powerful real estate community throughout, the Center provides a coveted platform for sharing expertise and strengthening networks among its various constituents, presenting specific opportunities for stimulating exchange among students, alumni, faculty members, and the real estate industry at large. Additionally, the Center coordinates and presents the Columbia Real Estate Alumni Circle and the Columbia Real Estate Forum.
