Continuing our watch on legislative developments affecting the BPCIA and TPP, President-elect Donald J. Trump has outlined his policy plans for the first 100 days in an announcement broadcast on YouTube. As part of his plan, he has instructed his transition team to develop a list of executive actions that he will be able to implement once he is sworn into office. First among the actions mentioned is his plan to issue a notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
While many other actions were proposed during the announcement, there was no mention of his plans in regard to the Affordable Care Act. However, President-elect Trump has stated that there will be more updates to his plan in the coming days.
