BOSTON, June 6, 2005 — Goodwin Procter LLP, a leading national law firm with offices in Boston, New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC, today announced the addition of Robert Whitman to the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. Whitman joins the firm as partner in its New York< office.
Whitman has more than 13 years of patent litigation experience across a broad spectrum of technologies, including software, computer hardware, semiconductor design and fabrication, medical devices, electronic components, data and voice communications and video processing. Whitman’s practice also includes licensing, rendering opinions and the acquisition and management of intellectual property rights.
Whitman joins the firm from Kenyon & Kenyon where he was a partner and member of that firm’s Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Practice Group. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University.
