April 2, 2007 — Xerox Corporation one of the world's leading document management technology and services enterprise, announced today a definitive agreement to acquire Global Imaging Systems, Inc. in a transaction valued at an estimated at $1.5 billion. Upon closing of the transaction, Xerox Corporation, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, will increase its annual sales by more than $1 billion and will gain nearly 200,000 customers across the U.S. In addition, it will increase equipment sales, services and supplies to support all of its products.
