Goodwin Procter LLP, a national AmLaw 50 firm, today announced that partner Lynda Galligan has been named chair of its Silicon Valley office. Galligan succeeds Anthony McCusker, who will continue to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee and lead the firm’s Technology Practice. McCusker assumed the role of office chair in 2012.
Galligan, a partner since 2007, is a member of the firm’s ERISA & Executive Compensation Practice. She moved to the firm’s Silicon Valley office in 2011 and has worked extensively with both technology and life sciences companies on a variety of deals and matters across the corporate life cycle. Her clients include public and private companies, as well employers and executives. Prior to attending law school, Galligan served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.
“Lynda has been a key presence in our Silicon Valley office and we are confident that her client experience and leadership skills will contribute significantly to our continued growth in Northern California,” said Regina Pisa, chairman of Goodwin Procter. “Anthony has done an outstanding job of cementing and elevating our presence in the Valley and the ongoing success of that office is a testament to his strategic vision and leadership.”
Galligan received her B.A. from Purdue University, and her J.D. from Boston College Law School. She can be reached at 650.752.3167 or lgalligan@goodwinlaw.com.
