Goodwin partner Andrea Murino was recently named to Global Competition Review’s Women in Antitrust 2016 list, which recognized 150 private practitioners, in-house counsel, enforcers, economists and academics who have achieved global recognition for their antitrust excellence.
Co-chair of Goodwin's Antitrust & Competition practice, Murino has vast experience with antitrust and competition law counseling. Clients seek her expertise when pursuing clearance for proposed transactions from the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and international competition law enforcement agencies. She also has extensive merger litigation experience, including serving as a senior member of a trial team that sought to defend a rare consummated merger challenge in federal court. She further advises clients on civil non-merger conduct matters before the DOJ, FTC, and state attorneys general, as well as in private litigation, and on a range of consumer protection matters. Murino was previously an attorney adviser to former FTC Chairman and Commissioner William Kovacic, and then served as a counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust at the Department of Justice.
Earlier this year, Murino was named to Global Competition Review’s 40 Under 40 list, recognizing the top young antitrust lawyers, enforcers and in-house counsel around the world.
