For the fifth consecutive year, Goodwin was recently named to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2018 Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality list, a distinction awarded to businesses who receive the top score of 100 percent on the organization’s benchmark Corporate Equality Index report. The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality and includes companies from all industries and geographies across corporate America.
Goodwin’s Pride Initiative principally focuses on recruiting, retaining and advancing LGBTQ talent. The initiative also seeks to create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment, and to build a strong network of LGBTQ professionals and allies.
The Corporate Equality Index was first published 15 years ago and rates companies on LGBTQ-related policies and practices including nondiscrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. The 2018 survey rated 947 businesses with a record-breaking 609 receiving the top score.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBTQ citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
