As enforcement activity picks up on the West Coast, Goodwin has hired Katherine Wawrzyniak as a partner in its Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, based in San Francisco. Wawrzyniak said in an interview that she plans to cater to tech and life sciences clients, noting that she is particularly interested in pivoting her practice toward high-stakes intellectual property matters that are generated by Goodwin’s clients. Wawrzyniak brings “deep and valuable experience navigating government investigations, as well as expertise in handling complex business disputes from her time in private practice, which will add meaningful depth to our litigation department as we support the increasing business needs of our clients,” Jennifer Fisher, head of the Litigation department for Northern California, said in a statement to Law.com.
