Goodwin has expanded its Litigation team, announcing it brought in a longtime Cooley LLP trial attorney as a partner in its San Francisco office. Patrick Gunn joined Goodwin's Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice after spending the past 24 years at Cooley. He handles business disputes, including commercial contract litigation, shareholder derivative actions, trade secret matters and partnership disputes, for clients in the technology, venture capital and real estate fields. Gunn told Law360 that joining Goodwin offered the opportunity to expand his real estate litigation practice. "Goodwin has a world-leading, very large and global real estate practice," Gunn said. "One of the things I've always liked to do has been real estate litigation. Goodwin offered me an opportunity to go with a globally leading firm that had as one of its five business pillars an industry that was important to me, to my practice and to many of my clients."
