Goodwin Bolsters Litigation Bench With Government Investigations Partner Ian Stearns

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Ian Stearns has joined the firm as a partner in its Boston office, focusing on government investigations and enforcement, securities litigation, and other complex litigation and disputes.

Ian, a former Second Circuit clerk and associate at Goodwin for several years, is rejoining the firm after almost six years serving as an assistant United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts in the Securities, Financial & Cyber Fraud Unit. At the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he was the lead prosecutor and trial counsel on several high-profile cases and received the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in 2022.
