Goodwin’s Forces of Law Podcast Connects the Dots on the Issues Shaping Global Business

Flagship Podcast Offers Lively, 10-Minute Conversations With Goodwin Lawyers and Industry Leaders

Goodwin today announced “Forces of Law,” a new biweekly podcast for business leaders and legal professionals.

Hosted by Goodwin editors Bob Mertz and Sarah Cambon, “Forces of Law” briefs listeners about the big forces shaping business right now. Through practical conversations with Goodwin lawyers and special guests, each episode will provide a short, insightful take on the legal and business questions that founders, CEOs, investors, board members, and lawyers are asking now.

The series draws on expertise from Goodwin partners and business leaders immersed in the industries its clients are building and transforming. The first six episodes dive into the following topics:

  • “Could AI Agents Upend Antitrust?” – Arman Oruc considers whether the foundations of antitrust can hold in an agentic world (October 5)
  • “Defense Tech’s New Contract with Washington” – Liza Craig lays out what’s changed, what hasn’t, and what founders should watch (October 19)
  • “Why State AI Laws Are Piling Up” – Gabe Maldoff maps the patchwork and where companies are most exposed (November 2)
  • “Inside the AI Deals Rewiring Drug Discovery” – Erini Svokos explains how life sciences companies are getting access to specialized AI (November 16)
  • “Where Is Trump Ramping Up Enforcement?” – Jim Gatta breaks down the Department of Justice’s emerging priorities (November 30)
  • “Healthcare Fraud Detection at Scale” – Allan Medina explains why fraud surfaces faster than ever — and what that means for companies (December 14)

The podcast expands on the firm’s “Forces of Law” series, bringing a timely lens to the developments making headlines across Goodwin’s core industries: healthcare, investment funds and capital, life sciences, private equity, real estate, and technology.

From shifting regulations and consequential court decisions to AI-driven disruption, each 10-minute conversation provides leaders with the context they need to make strategic and informed business decisions.
