Luca Amato

Luca Amato is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department. He joined Goodwin as a summer associate in 2024. 

Prior to law school, Luca was a contracts manager on the public sector legal team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS, Luca drafted and negotiated technology and services agreements and managed compliance programs in support of AWS’s business with public sector customers. He was awarded the H2 Dive Deep award from the general counsel of AWS for co-leading an audit of over 200 business development programs (issuing $3.7 billion annually) and drafting a memorandum of recommendations for leadership.

Before that, Luca worked as a paralegal at a boutique firm that represented public sector clients in energy litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the D.C. Circuit Court, and the United States Supreme Court.

During law school, Luca was a legal intern at Autodesk, where he drafted and negotiated commercial contracts for Autodesk’s public sector legal team. Luca also served as a full-time extern with Judge Lafferty of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.
