Alexandra Bargoot is an associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, partnership disputes, acquisition disputes, and regulatory disputes, with a focus on issues impacting Goodwin’s private equity clients.
Experience
Ms. Bargoot has experience on a variety of complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters for a diverse set of clients, ranging from private investment funds and large-cap operating companies to government entities. She has advised clients through trials and arbitrations, as well as examinations and investigations by the SEC. Ms. Bargoot has litigated claims pertaining to sales of portfolio companies, breach of contract and fraud claims, claims of aiding and abetting liability, and assessing creditor’s rights. She has experience on matters involving SEC examinations and investigations, as well as DOJ investigations, of private investment clients, including on issues related to pay-to play violations, obligations under limited partnership agreements, and investments related matters.
In addition to her work in the asset management sector, Ms. Bargoot has experience in the pharmaceutical industry, representing pharma clients in litigation and arbitrations including disputes related to drug development, asset sales, earn-out provisions, and mergers.
