Jessica Barton-Davis is a senior associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and is a member of the firm’s Private Investment Litigation group. Her practice includes complex commercial disputes, private investment litigation, and government, regulatory, and internal investigations. Before joining Goodwin, Jessica clerked for Justice Elspeth Cypher of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and for Judge Eric Neyman of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Jessica’s recent engagements include representing:
- A major financial institution in a government investigation
- A private-equity backed online educational company in connection with restrictive covenant and copyright litigation pending in federal court in Massachusetts against former employee
- A founder seller in connection with an investment firm buyer’s post-closing claims of fraud, breach of contract, and breaches of representations and warranties in litigation in Delaware Court of Chancery
- Employers and employees in employment litigation
- A buyer, an international pharmaceutical company, in connection with post-closing litigation brought by seller related to earn-out dispute in Delaware Chancery Court
- Companies defending securities class action lawsuits.
Jessica has also been actively involved in pro bono matters.
Before joining Goodwin, Jessica served for two years as a law clerk for Justice Elspeth Cypher of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and for one year as a law clerk for Judge Eric Neyman of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
