Susie Chen is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the firm’s Technology group. Her practice focuses on venture capital financings and general corporate representation of emerging companies and the venture capital firms that fund them. She joined Goodwin in 2022.
Susie advises companies at every stage of their corporate lifecycle, including pre‑incorporation planning and formation, general corporate representation and counseling, and venture capital financings from seed through growth stage. She also represents venture capital funds and strategic investors in priced equity rounds, convertible note and SAFE financings, and secondary transactions. A substantial portion of her practice is with companies and investors in the artificial intelligence sector.
Susie also plays a leading role in Goodwin’s firmwide initiative to develop AI‑native tools for its venture financing practice, working alongside the firm’s engineering team to translate transactional practice into software used across the firm.
