Becky Coleman is an incoming senior attorney in Goodwin’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation practice. She joined Goodwin in January 2026.
Becky is an accomplished consumer financial services regulatory attorney with over a decade of experience prosecuting consumer financial services actions. She has extensive experience and expertise in residential mortgage origination and servicing, including advertising, underwriting, closing, servicing of performing and non-performing loans, servicing transfers, and loss mitigation. Becky has deep subject matter knowledge of TILA/Reg Z, ECOA, the FDCPA, the UDAAP provisions of the CFPA, and state consumer finance laws, with a proven ability to translate complex legal requirements into pragmatic and actionable guidance. She is skilled in managing complex regulatory investigations, advising on regulatory compliance, and supporting clients through regulatory change.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Becky served as senior litigation counsel at the CFPB, where she led complex enforcement investigations involving a wide array of consumer financial products, with a special focus on mortgage lending and servicing, debt collection, and UDAAPs. Prior to joining the CFPB, served as an assistant attorney general in Maryland, where she managed consumer financial services investigations and advised the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation.
