Reidar Composano

Reidar Composano is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of its Technology group. Reidar advises company and investor clients on a variety of corporate and securities matters, with a primary focus on representing emerging-growth technology companies and capital markets transactions, drawing on his in-house experience at OpenAI. Reidar also regularly represents leading venture capital firms in their early- and growth-stage investments. He joined the firm in 2023. 

In his free time, Reidar enjoys antique furniture restoration and surfing—two outlets that keep him creative and hands-on outside the office.

From February through October 2024, Reidar was on secondment at OpenAI, where he worked on a variety of venture capital, M&A, employment, and intellectual property matters. While attending law school, Reidar was the Digital Editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology and an executive board member of the Law, Innovation, Security & Technology organization. Before law school, Reidar worked as an auditor in the financial services and benefits administration industries, gaining early experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
