Mr. Cosmos focuses his practice on the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in transactional and corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and minority investments.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Cosmos was an associate in the private equity group at Ropes & Gray LLP. He also completed a seven-month secondment in the Boston office of a leading middle-market private equity sponsor.
During law school, Mr. Cosmos served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Timothy S. Hillman in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also led an international practicum for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
Professional Activities
Mr. Cosmos is a member of the American Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and Hellenic Bar Association and serves as a mentor for the Boston Lawyers Group. He remains active in local fundraisers including Reach the Beach Run and Lawyers Have Heart 5K.

Mr. Cosmos was a leading member of the COVID Relief Coalition, a pro bono effort that helped Boston-area nonprofits and small businesses navigate the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition for its work, the COVID Relief Coalition received the Boston Bar Association’s Beacon Award for Empowerment as well as Lawyers Clearinghouse’s Pro Bono Excellence Award.
